Technology has the greatest and worst impact on education for children in schools in America. Teachers from older generations are not used to the technological advances that schools are constantly making, therefore they are constantly falling behind. Teachers never actually get the chance to settle down with one type of technology because right when they get settled, the technology is advances without them. Technology can obviously also make children lazy because technology makes everything easier for them.

I agree, a teacher using myclasses can't get students to pay attention because the notes are online, while a teacher using a blackboard actually gets people to pay attention and take notes
ReplyDeleteI agree, technology everywhere is constantly being updated, not only in the classroom. If you get a new computer with the new Microsoft Office then the next year an even newer one will come out and your model will be out of date, my iTunes is constantly telling me to update my software because a new version has been made. This constant need to update your technology so that it is compatible with the new technology is stressful, expensive, and time consuming. I think our society is moving way to fast and relying way to much on technology.
ReplyDeleteI agree that technological advances constantly make teachers fall behind because I always see my mom falling behind with all the new technology in her school she teaches at. It even took me forever to make her start texting. I also agree that technology can make students lazy because they can find answers online and not work hard for an honest grade.
ReplyDeleteI agree with technology making students lazy..students rely too much on technology to do everything for them and don't really put in the needed time to learn how to do everything by themselves.
