Technology in Classes

Technology is a very useful tool to use in classes.  MyClasses alone informs students on the assignments they have to do.  We always find out what our blog topic is by looking in MyClasses.  I also have online quizzes in MyClasses for my other classes, along with practice problems or notes from class that are very helpful when studying for tests.  Email is another amazing way to communicate with teachers when I'm having a problem with something.  I also use a clicker in my Physics class to answer quick questions or problems the teacher gives us.  If a lot of students get a question wrong, the teacher can look at the answers everyone puts and know that the topic is something they need to explain.  I think clickers are a great idea because a lot of students are shy and don't like to raise their hand a lot so the clickers give them a way to participate.

Technology and Accounting

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-duNgy2TUaE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Technology helps accountants enormously by allowing them to keep all their records on a computer instead of writing it down in a book.  It makes their jobs easier and faster by having all their work on a computer, available whenever they want.  They can now work from home, and companies, like Bulletproof InfoTech, are making this possible for accounting firms.

Favorite Website

I don't really go on that many websites but I guess one that I have gone on before is....

http://www.forever21.com

I don't really like going to the mall and shopping because I get bored of it easily so in the past I have ordered clothes online. I've only done it once or twice but it's much faster than going to a store and waiting on line to by one thing.  Feel free to let me know if anyone has any awesome websites to visit!

All About Allison

My name is Allison but I also go by Ally.  I'm a sophomore at Salisbury University but I am actually from New Jersey, four hours away to be exact.  I played a lot of sports when I was younger, but the two that stuck out were gymnastics and field hockey.  I did field hockey for 6 years and did competitive gymnastics for 10 years.  This past summer I actually started working at a gymnastics camp, teaching boys and girls from ages 5 to 14 the basics of gymnastics.  I'm looking forward to the gymnastics club starting here so I can get back to competing.  I'm also looking forward to learning about the basics of blogging since I have never had a blog before and love working with computers.
